Security Incident Response Teams

GovCertUK manages and coordinates the response activity to electronic attack incidents that have an impact on the Government Community within the UK. GovCertUK also works closely with the CPNI, who coordinate the response activity to electronic attacks against the critical national infrastructure (CNI).

Network security incidents that affect UK systems may also be occurring against similar organisations internationally. It therefore takes an alliance of CERT organisations around the world, reacting in a coordinated approach to resolve network incidents as they occur. CESG's GovCertUK team works closely with other national CERT’s from around the world, to identify emerging attacks, share information, or to resolve issues outside our national boundaries.
