GovCertUK manages and coordinates the response activity to electronic attack incidents that have an impact on the Government Community within the UK. GovCertUK also works closely with the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), who coordinate the response activity to electronic attacks against the critical national infrastructure (CNI).

Electronic attack incidents that impact on UK systems may also be affecting similar organisations internationally. GovCertUK works closely with other national CERTs from around the world, to identify emerging attacks, share information and to resolve issues outside our national boundaries.
